70-Year-Old Motorist Hospitalized Following 2-Car Crash In Wilton

Wilton Police, Fire, and EMS units were dispatched after receiving multiple 911 calls​ regarding a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

WILTON, CT — A motorist driving a convertible was hospitalized following a collision with a Jeep Grand Cherokee in Wilton on Oct. 2.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m., Wilton Police, Fire, and EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Danbury Road and School Road after receiving multiple 911 calls regarding a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

First responders found the 2014 Jeep had struck the passenger side of a 2005 Saab 9-3 that was making a left turn into School Road from Danbury Road.

The driver of the Saab, 70, from Norwalk, was assisted out of her vehicle by Fire and EMS crews, and taken to Norwalk Hospital for her injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, 35, from Weston, sustained suspected minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital, according to the police report.

Officers issued the driver of the Saab an infraction for failing to yield to on-coming traffic while turning left.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene upon the completion of the crash investigation.
