Disagreement at High School Results in 2-Foot Long Key Scratch on Audi

A female resident contacted Wilton Police on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at 6:05p.m. to report having a disagreement with Brian McGovern, 51, of 32 Charter Oak Drive in Wilton who was standing alongside her vehicle, a 2010 Audi, while at Kristine Lilly Field, according to Wilton Police.

The female reported that as she began to drive away that McGovern scratched the side of her car with a key he was holding. There was an approximate 2-foot long scratch along the right rear quarter panel of the vehicle, according to Wilton Police.

McGovern stated that in order to avoid being hit by the car being driven by the victim, 45, his wife, he had pushed away to avoid being struck and accidentally scratched the car with a key he was holding.

McGovern was charged with Disorderly Conduct and issued a misdemeanor summons from the field and assigned a day in court for Sept. 30, 2013.
