Wilton Seeks Volunteer For Architectural Review Board And Village Design Advisory Committee
Wilton is seeking a volunteer to serve on the Architectural Review Board and Village District Design Advisory Committee.
WILTON, CT — The Town of Wilton is seeking a volunteer to serve on both the Architectural Review Board and the Village District Design Advisory Committee, two bodies that oversee design standards for development projects in town.
The Village District Design Advisory Committee reviews proposals for exterior alterations, new construction and signage within Wilton’s designated village district, while the Architectural Review Board evaluates projects located outside those areas. Together, the boards aim to ensure that development aligns with the town’s historic character and maintains high aesthetic and construction standards.
Members meet monthly to review applications and discuss proposed projects. Town officials said candidates with professional backgrounds in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture or design history are encouraged to apply, though residents with a strong interest in design and preservation may also be considered.
