Man Found With Pot During Traffic Stop: Wilton PD

Police say the man was stopped after running a red light.

WILTON, CT — A Weston man was found with over an ounce of marijuana after at traffic stop on Rte. 7 Thursday, according to Wilton Police. Daniel Duffy, 56, of Weston was issued a misdemeanor summons on scene on Danbury Road and Kensett Avenue.

Police say that they stopped a car that was traveling through a red traffic signal. The officer searched the car after smelling burnt marijuana, and found 1.057 ounces of marijuana and one burnt marijuana cigarette.

Duffy was charged with failure to obey a traffic signal and illegal possession of marijuana. He is due in court on July 5.
