Wilton to Honor Fallen Residents on 15th Anniversary of 9/11
Wilton town employees, EMTs, police officers, firefighters and Board of Education employees will join together for the 9/11 memorial.

WILTON, CT — The Town of Wilton will come together once again on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to remember local residents lost, as well as the nearly 3,000 killed and the brave fire and police forces who perished.
Wilton town department employees, EMTs, police officers, firefighters and Board of Education employees, will join together for the 15th annual September 11 Memorial Service on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Wilton fire headquarters.
Five Wilton residents who passed away will be honored — John Henwood, Peter Fry, Edward York, Edward Fergus Jr. and John F. Iskyan. Former Wilton resident John Sindel who survived the attacks will speak along with First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice and Police Captain John Lynch.

The CT United motorcycle tribute ride will reach Route 7 in Wilton at approximately 11:45 a.m. The event begins in Norwalk, CT at Exit 17 off I-95 at Norden Park at 11:30 a.m. The motorcade is expected to enter the Town of Wilton at approximately 11:45 a.m. It is anticipated that the motorcade will last for approximately 45 minutes, leaving the Town of Wilton at approximately 12:30 p.m During this time access to sections of Route 33 (Westport Road) and Route 7 (Danbury Road) will be restricted.
