Wilton Police Nab Bronx Woman In 2024 Shoplifting Investigation

The Wilton Police Department got some closure on a months-long shoplifting investigation this week.

WILTON, CT — The Wilton Police Department got some closure on a months-long shoplifting investigation this week.

On Jan. 17, Wilton police took Nicole Rivera, 36, of East 229 Street in The Bronx into custody. A Wilton business contacted the WPD on Aug. 15, 2024, to complain of the theft. Probable cause — and an arrest warrant — were obtained following the investigation, assisted by other agencies. The arrest was made Friday with the help of judicial marshals while Rivera appeared at Stamford Superior Court for an unrelated case. Police charged her with fifth degree larceny, and fifth degree conspiracy to commit larceny. Rivera was turned over to the marshals after processing and was arraigned at Stamford Superior Court that same day.

Also on the blotter this week, Alisha Jordan, 33, of Winthrop Avenue in New Haven, turned herself in at Wilton Police HQ on Jan. 15 on an active arrest warrant. Police charged Jordan with criminal impersonation, interfering with an officer, and driving while on a cellphone. She was unable to pay her $50,000 court assigned bond and was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court the same day.
