Wilton Police Nab Danbury Woman For DUI, Speeding
Police charged the driver with DUI, speeding and failure to stay in the proper lane.
WILTON, CT — Police in Wilton have charged a Danbury woman with speeding and DUI.
At approximately 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, police stopped a Subaru Outback they say was speeding and having difficulty staying in one lane, traveling northbound on Danbury Road.
The driver, a 37-year-old woman from Hilltop Manor in Danbury, appeared to police to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The motorist failed to perform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard, and submitted to chemical testing, acording to police. The results indicated blood alcohol levels of 0.3059 and 0.3160 consecutively. In Connecticut, the legal blood alcohol content limit for driving is 0.08 percent for those 21 and older.
Police charged the driver with DUI, speeding and failure to stay in the proper lane. After posting 7 percent of her $300 bond, she was released and scheduled to appear at the Stamford Superior Court on Nov. 20.
