Wilton Tax Collector Announces Billing Updates And Payment Deadlines
Wilton real estate and vehicle tax bill deadlines, late fees, online payment options, limited parking at Town Hall: What You Need To Know
WILTON, CT — The Town of Wilton’s Tax Collector’s Office announced that the first half of 2025-26 real estate tax bills will be mailed to residents on June 26, now that voters have approved the town budget. Tax payments will be accepted from July 1 through Aug. 1.
Payments made or postmarked after Aug. 1 will incur a 1.5 percent monthly interest penalty, with a $2 minimum charge. A payment made on Aug. 2, for example, will be assessed 3 percent interest.
Due to recent changes at the Department of Motor Vehicles, residents who registered vehicles between Oct. 1, 2024, and Apr. 30, 2025, will receive partial bills in July—earlier than in previous years. Those registering vehicles from May 1 to Sept. 30 are advised to check the town’s website for billing timelines.

Payments can be made online starting July 1, with ACH bank transfers incurring a $1.95 fee and credit/debit card payments subject to a 2.95 percent charge or $2.95 minimum. The online payment system will issue immediate receipts.
All payments will now be processed directly at Wilton Town Hall, as lockbox processing in Hartford has been discontinued. Residents using online banking should update the mailing address accordingly:
