Wilton Traffic Alert: Roads Closed After Eversource Sub-Contractor Falls

According to police, officials are investigating a possible electrocution incident after a worker fell to the ground in Wilton.

Wilton, CT — Wilton Central Dispatch received a 911 about a medical emergency in the area of 31 Rivergate Drive involving a utility worker on Thursday, Wilton police said.

Wilton Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched and the victim was transported by WVAC to Norwalk Hospital, according to police.

The road will be closed for an extended period of time between the intersections of Blue Ridge Lane and Pilgrim Trail and Wilton CERT responded and will be assisting with traffic control, according to police.

Officials said that an employee of an Eversource sub-contractor was placing a pole when one of the workers on the ground fell from a standing position for an unknown reason. The investigation will focus on the possibility of an electrical related incident.

The name of the patient and sub-contractor are not being released at this time as the investigation continues, police said.
