Woman Crashes Car Into Wilton YMCA Building [Updated with Photos]
Marie Levy, 48, told police that she meant to hit the brake when she hit the gas pedal by accident, according to Captain John Lynch.
A 48 year-old woman was arrested on August 2 after she crashed her car into a building at the Wilton YMCA, according to a news release sent by the .
Marie Levy, formerly of Wilton and with no known current address, told police that she was moving her Volvo stationwagon from the south employee parking lot to the main parking lot when she turned right and failed to stop when parking in a space near the Wahoo guard shack building. Captain John Lynch said that Levy told police that she might have placed her foot on the gas pedal by accident instead of the brake pedal.

Police said that when Levy accelerated her vehicle, it went through a fence and into the north corner of the guard shack building. The crash caused significant damage to the building, including a men's room sink, which was knocked off the wall and was leaking water.
Levy was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. According to Captain Lynch, her blood alcohol level was recorded at 0.122. She posted a $500 bond and is due in on August 13.
