WINDSOR, CT — The Windsor Police Department invites residents to its annual National Night Out event at the Windsor Town Green.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make their neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

The event had been slated for Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m., but has been postponed. No new date has yet been announced.

When rescheduled, the event will feature an array of fun activities, including a DJ, axe throwing, football toss, hula hoop contest and uplifting music. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided.

Organizers request patrons bring non-perishable food items to stuff a cruiser to support the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank.
