Brigham, Cosgrove, Lumpkin, Olihan: Recent Death Notices From Windsor

WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent death notices from Windsor.

Joan (Bogert) Brigham, 92, beloved wife of the late Richard J. (Dick) Brigham, passed away peacefully at her home on Feb. 25, 2025. She taught elementary school for kids with learning and emotional disabilities for seven years. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from St. Joseph College in 1982 and started her own practice as a therapist. She worked as a therapist and workshop leader into her 70s, primarily serving women in her practice.

John Cosgrove, 87, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he worked as an aircraft jet engine mechanic, and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War from 1956 to 1958. He had a successful career as a firefighter with the city of Hartford, retiring as Captain of Ladder 2 in 1994 with 33 years of dedicated service.

Milton "Wayne" Lumpkin, 71, passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2025. Wayne attended Hartford High Annex for ninth grade before being selected to board at Westminster School, a prestigious private school in Simsbury. He will be remembered for his kindness, intelligence and passion for music. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

William Olihan, 83, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Feb. 28, 2025. Bill’s joy was his family, and he delighted in every moment spent with his grandchildren.
