December 19, 2010: Holiday Pictures, Arts and Music Festival and Cloudy Skies

Sunday brings cloudy skies, a holiday picture swap and an arts and music festival.

1. Today will be cloudy with a high in the mid-to-upper 30's. Night temperatures will fall into the the mid-20's, according to National Weather Service reports.

2. Windsor Patch is announcing our holiday photo opportunity today. Send us photos of yourself, family, friends, or four-legged family members in a holiday-inspired picture, and we'll send you loads of Patch gear, we have plenty of it. Email your pictures to yours truly, julian.mckinley@patch.com; pictures from this year, or years past. We'll upload them to the site so all can share your holiday memories.

3. Today is the last day that you can head on over to the in Hartford. The festival is from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Admission is $7, $5 with a non-perishable food item.

4. Looking for some exercise this morning? Head over to L.P. Wilson today for adult open basketball. Gym passes are $25. A daily pass costs $2. The gym is open for adult basketball from 9 a.m. to noon.

5. On this day in history, 1777, General George Washington settled his troops at Valley Forge for the winter season.
