Friday brings mild weather, a Santa-tracking system, and a guide to dining out this holiday weekend.

1. Enjoy a mostly sunny day with a high in the mid-30's. Temperatures will drop a bit tonight, a low of 17 is expected according to National Weather Service reports.
2. If you want to keep track of when Santa will arrive to your home, presents in tow, NORAD provides a fun Santa tracker. The tracker keeps tabs on Santa's location as he rounds the globe.
3. If you don't celebrate Christmas, or you're just looking for a place to dine out tonight or tomorrow, take a look at our dining out guide for this holiday weekend. There are several establishments throughout the area that plan to keep doors open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

4. There are Christmas services tonight at local churches. is holding a children and family Christmas service at 5 p.m. will celebrate mass at 4:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
5. On this day in history, 1997, a Hanukkah candle was officially lit at the Vatican for the first time in history.
