4. Tonight is a Give Back Night at . With the presentation of a Chili's flyer (available at Chili's), patrons will help raise money for non-profit organizations in the area by donating 10-percent of their bill. Organizations that will benefit from the fundraiser include Hospital for Kids, Fidelco Guide Dogs, Windsor High School Class of 2013, Sage Park Middle School, and Connecticut FOP.

5. On this day in history, the first African-American governor took office. In 1872, P.B.S. Pinchback began his term as governor of L0uisiana, serving for a brief 35 days.
