Dump Household Waste In West Hartford Saturday

WEST HARTFORD, CT — It's time to get rid of some of that household waste that has accumulated over the summer.
On Saturday, Sept. 10, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Metropolitan District of Connecticut (MDC) will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Collection in West Hartford at the Public Works Garage, 17 Brixton St.
The event is free and open to MDC member communities, which are Bloomfield, East Granby, East Hartford, Hartford, Newington, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor and Windsor Locks.

Collect your household waste items in their original containers, place them in a box and bring them to the collection site on Sept. 10 and MDC will handle the rest.

Typical items are kitchen cleaners, garage and workshop chemicals, and yard insecticides and hobby solvents, to name a few.
