
The second annual Jaycee 5K will be held on Sun., Aug. 14 at Northwest Park.
The jog, established last year in memory of a Jaycee's mother who was lost to cancer, will raise money for the Cancer Sports Foundation (CSF).
CSF is an organization that provides financial assistance to Connecticut cancer patients and their families.

According to CSF, "Sixty-five percent of personal bankruptcies involve high medical bills." Because of this, CSF provides financial assistance to individual patients and their families to help them get buy; paying for rent, mortgages, utilities, transportation, prescriptions and more.
