Family Fun with Horses

1. If you're an enthusiast of all things equestrian, then you'll need to mark your calendars for a few upcoming events in the area. First, on Saturday, Oct. 8 in East Granby, will take place, beginning at 10 a.m. Bring your friends and family for historic fun offered by the East Granby Historical Society, where approximately 20 historic coaches, wagons and other vehicles will participate in the event, which will take place at . In addition to the vehicles, the event will also include donkey rides, fiddlers, a barbershop quartet, artisan displays, food vendors and an Antiques Appraisal Fair.

2. Several horse shows will be taking place throughout the fall at . The center is located 247 Hall Hill Rd., and shows will be held on Oct. 29, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20. 3. Into polo? Then UConn is the place to be on several dates from now through December. The Department of Animal Science UConn Women's and Men's Polo schedule is now posted online listing both their home and away games. If you've never experienced a game live, consider stopping by.
