Family Fun with Horses

1. If you're an enthusiast of all things equestrian, then you'll need to mark your calendars for a few upcoming events in the area. First, on Saturday, Oct. 8 in East Granby, will take place, beginning at 10 a.m. Bring your friends and family for historic fun offered by the East Granby Historical Society, where approximately 20 historic coaches, wagons and other vehicles will participate in the event, which will take place at . In addition to the vehicles, the event will also include donkey rides, fiddlers, a barbershop quartet, artisan displays, food vendors and an Antiques Appraisal Fair.

2. Several horse shows will be taking place throughout the fall at . The center is located 247 Hall Hill Rd., and shows will be held on Oct. 29, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20.
