February 7, 2011: Windsor Resident Evacuated From Egypt, Income Tax Consulting and a Public Hearing

Monday brings the story of a Windsor High graduate that was evacuated from the Egyptian Revolution, income tax consulting and a public hearing

1. Today will be mostly cloudy, but temperatures will remain relatively warm as today's expected high is in the upper 30's. There is, however, an 80-percent chance of snow tonight. The good news is that less than a half an inch is expected, according to National Weather Service reports.

2. A Windsor High graduate was evacuated from the Egyptian Revolution while studying abroad. While in Egypt, his apartment building was barricaded and armed with Molotov cocktails to keep looters and escaped criminals out. We have his incredible story for you.

3. Income tax consulting will be held for seniors today at the Senior Center from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Remember to bring your 1099 and W2 forms with last year's tax return. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling 860-285-1992. This is a free service.

4. A public hearing is scheduled to precede tonight's town council meeting. The hearing will be held for three ordinances that, if approved, would amount to nearly $1 million in structural and administrative enhancements throughout town. It's an opportunity to let people know what you support and don't support.
