Frugal Family: Deals on Travel, Fitness and Fun

We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollars.

This column will be dedicated to giving you five great local deals each week that will help your family’s bottom line, and since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money.

1. Best Cleaners, Windsor

Deal: Get a $5 coupon for any dry cleaning service when you sign up for the company newsletter.

2. Amtrak, Windsor

Deal:  25-percent off fares on the Northeast Regional, plus up to two children ages 2-15 may accompany each adult at half the discounted (full) adult rail fare.
