Girls Track Sprints to Indoor Track Title

The Windsor girls indoor track team beat Darien to win the Class L title on Friday.

The Windsor girls indoor track team avenged a championship loss to Darien a year ago by defeating the Blue Wave by one point on Friday to bring the Class L championship back to Windsor.

The Warriors came from behind to come out on top, 85-84.

As a team, the girls finished first in the 4x200 meter relay, 4x400 meter relay, 1600 sprint medley.

Windosr's Chalsea Clarke finished first in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.37 seconds.

Brianna Allen and Clarke finished first and second respectively in the 300-meter dash, coming in at 41.44 and 42.31 seconds, followed by fellow Warriors in the fifth, tenth and eleventh spots.

Medinah Nabadduka finished third in the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:07.31 seconds, while Janae Wilson made a statement for Windsor in the jump events.

Wilson finished third in the high jump and first in the long jump with a distance of 17 feet, 4 and one-quarter inches.
