WINDSOR, CT — How can a 473-acre parcel consisting of 12 miles of hiking trails, a Nature Center, dozens of farm animals, soccer fields, a functioning maple sugar house and so much more be considered hidden? Well, when it's near the end of a dead end road in a mainly residential neighborhood, it's easy to miss without consulting Rand McNally (sorry, showing my age ... I meant to say without utilizing a GPS).

Welcome to Northwest Park, owned and operated by the town of Windsor. It is situated at 145 Lang Road, in the northern part of town, and is open to the public dawn to dusk, free of charge.

In addition to a variety of uses beneficial to nature lovers, such as a tobacco museum, cross country skiing and a picnic pavilion, there are also numerous events held year-round, including a coffee house concert series, children's summer camps and an annual country fair. There is truly something for everyone.
