Windsor Food & Fuel Bank in Need of Specific Food Items
Decrease in Food Donations After the Holidays

After the winter holidays, a slowdown in donations of food to nonprofit pantries across the country is not uncommon. Yet hunger is a year-round concern for people who are struggling with food insecurity…and this is true in Windsor too.
The Windsor Food & Fuel Bank’s pantry currently has a shortage of several specific nonperishable food items on its shelves. What especially is needed now are Hot Cereal, Cake and Brownie Mixes, and condiments such as Ketchup, Mustard and Mayonnaise, according to Joanna Gould, President of the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank, and Jasmine Hall, Social Services Coordinator for the Town of Windsor.
In addition to the above foods, the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank always needs peanut butter & jelly, spaghetti sauce & pasta, canned meats, crackers, cold cereal, baked beans, canned fruits and vegetables, fruit juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Personal care items such as paper towels, facial tissues, toilet paper, diapers and baby wipes are always welcome.

The generosity of local individuals, businesses, civic and religious organizations provides for 95 percent of the WF&FB’s annual operating budget.
