Broud Brook Mom 'Beyond Thankful' For Parents' Support Through Her Child’s Illness

Broad Brook, CT — Thanksgiving is the perfect time to pause and reflect on what brings us joy — from family and friends to meaningful traditions and everyday moments. This year, Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to spotlight the thankful moments that bring our communities together.

What are you most thankful for this year?

I am beyond thankful for my parents.

Why does this mean so much to you?

I have a child with a rare genetic chronic illness, and they have been the support system thats gotten me through so far.

How has this made a difference in your 2025?

The biggest this is them listening and understanding, helping monetarily, helping with mobility aids, having the understanding of what life is like for us.

What do you wish others knew about what you’re thankful for?

They never ask for recognition and truthfully probably wouldn't want it because its what you do for family. They do so much for so many, I wish I could do more for them, but this is a start.
