Updated: Car Crashes Through Utility Pole, Life Star Responds
The East Windsor driver in the accident that occurred at the intersection of Newberry and Winkler Roads on May 30 was treated and released from Hartford Hospital.
Updated May 5 at 9 p.m.:
East Windsor Police have released the name of the driver in an accident at the intersection of Newberry and Winkler Roads in Warehouse Point Thursday night.
The car, driven by Scott McHugh, 20, 38 Prospect Hill Drive, East Windsor, crashed through a utility pole and went down an embankment on the wooded roadside at 8:56 p.m. Fire personnel had to extricate McHugh because of damage to the car, and he was transported to Hartford Hospital by Life Star helicopter.

Police said he was treated for his injuries and released on Friday. McHugh has not been charged, according to police. There was no further information about the cause of the accident.

Emergency units responded to the intersection of Newberry and Winkler Roads in Warehouse Point Thursday night after a car crashed through a utility pole and careened down an embankment on the wooded roadside.
According to East Windsor Police, the crash involved a single car with just the driver inside.
Because of extensive damage to the car's body, fire personnel had to extricate of the driver, who was transported to an unspecified local hospital by Life Star helicopter due to injuries suffered in the accident, police said.
There was no word on the scene Thursday as to what may have caused the crash.
