Doak, McIntosh: Recent Death Notices From Windsor Locks And East Windsor

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent death notices from Windsor Locks and East Windsor.

George Doak, 83, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Claire (Tomaszek) Doak, entered into eternal rest at his home on April 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Hamilton Standard for over 33 years. Even after retirement, George remained active, spending many years working at the Bradley Teletheater. A dedicated public servant, George volunteered with the Windsor Locks Fire Department for more than 50 years. He was also a proud member of the Suffield Sportsman Association.

Wendy (Merovonich) McIntosh, 65, a lifelong resident of Broad Brook and beloved wive of the late David McIntosh, was called by God on April 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Wendy attended Porter & Chester School of Graphic Design, and retired from Blair Manor after 42 years of service. Also known as MeMe, she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and had a natural talent. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them to swim, bike ride, fishing, among many other trades and talents.
