East Windsor Democrat - A Former Enfield Mayor - Seeks 59th House Seat
Rick LeBorious is expected to be endorsed as the Democratic nominee for the 59th District seat in the Connecticut General Assembly.

EAST WINDSOR-ENFIELD, CT — Longtime East Windsor resident Rick LeBorious, a former mayor of Enfield, has met the requirements of Connecticut's Citizens' Election Program for public campaign financing in his bid to earn the 59th House District seat in the General Assembly.
The 59th District seat, which encompasses parts of Enfield and East Windsor, has been held since 2016 by Republican Carol Hall. LeBorious is expected to receive the official endorsement of Enfield and East Windsor Democrats at a nominating convention on May 15.
"I can't thank everyone enough for their help in this important step in my efforts to represent Enfield and East Windsor residents in the state legislature," LeBorious said. "I am running for the same reasons I first sought public office as a councilman from Enfield’s 4th District. I am running to help our communities thrive, and to help our families succeed."

"I feel a deep connection and commitment to Enfield and East Windsor," he said. "Both communities have great prospects for bright futures for all their citizens. Over time, we seem to have lost much of our sense of connection to each other as citizens. We are experiencing an increasing lack of civility in our public discourse. I want to be part of finding ways to connect us to each other, to community. I want to help foster the recognition of our shared values and purpose."
State Senator Saud Anwar said, "Rick will bring intelligence and compassion to the state legislature. I am looking forward to working with him on important legislation that will benefit the 59th District and the entire state."
LeBorious is married to Betsy Grigely LeBorious, and they are the parents of three grown children. For more information about the campaign, contact him at rleborious@cox.net or 860-280-8985.
