EAST WINDSOR, CT — Do you have a vision for the future of the East Windsor Parks and Recreation Department?

Officials are currently developing the East Windsor Parks and Recreation Master Plan, and the department will be seeking the public's input at a meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Town Hall (11 Rye Street, Broad Brook).

"A Master Plan is a comprehensive plan that helps with setting goals — both in programming and infrastructure-wise — as to the potential next 5 to 10 years of what the Parks and Rec program and parks will look like," Melissa Maltese, East Windsor's director of recreation and community services, told Patch.

At the meeting, community members can share their opinions on the future of Parks and Recreation's services — for example, they can let officials know that they would like more walking trails and greenways, Maltese said.

The Master Plan will be complete by Jan. 1, 2022, and it will also be based on recommendations from BETA Group, a consulting firm tasked with surveying the town's parks facilities and residents' opinions, Maltese said.
