Cruiser Struck By Vehicle On I-91 In East Windsor
The crash happened Thursday night on I-91 south, according to state police.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A Connecticut State Police cruiser was struck by a vehicle Thursday night on Interstate 91 south in East Windsor, authorities said.
According to state police, the crash occurred near Exit 45 while a trooper was conducting a separate investigation. Police said the cruiser was parked in the right lane of the highway at the time of the incident.
The trooper was outside of the vehicle when it was struck and was not injured, state police said.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the cruiser was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. State police said that the driver was issued an infraction in connection with the crash.
Authorities again reminded motorists to slow down and move over for stationary emergency vehicles to help prevent similar incidents.
