East Windsor Votes Yes On New Ambulance, Officials Say
The new ambulance will replace aging emergency vehicles, according to town officials.
EAST WINDSOR, CT — Voters approved a funding package Tuesday night that will allow the town to purchase a new ambulance, according to a post on the East Windsor Ambulance Association's social media page.
At a town meeting held on November 20th, residents voted to authorize $208,000 toward the purchase of a new ambulance. The funding includes $108,000 from interest earned on the town’s American Rescue Plan Act allocation and an additional $100,000 from the unassigned fund balance.
Shortly after the vote, Charles Roode, who is Chief of EMS, released a statement thanking the Board of Selectmen, Board of Finance, and “most of all, the citizens of East Windsor who came to vote tonight.”
