Eastern End Of Church Street In Windsor Locks Permanently Closed
A project involving traffic realignment on Route 159 and construction of a new train station includes making Church Street a cul-de-sac.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The eastern end of Church Street has been permanently closed at Main Street, as the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) continues with construction of a new train station and traffic realignment along Route 159.
The construction project includes installation of a cul-de-sac at the end of Church Street, new traffic signalizations on Route 159 at Church and Spring streets, and the installation of a multi-use trail, according to the DOT. A detour onto Spring Street has been set up.
First Selectman Paul Harrington said a town green-type area would be built at the end of the cul-de-sac.
