Elementary School Crossing Concerns Addressed By East Windsor Police
Safety concerns during morning drop-off at Broad Brook Elementary School have prompted police to issue an urgent plea to use crosswalks.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Safety concerns during morning drop-off at Broad Brook Elementary School have prompted police to issue an urgent plea to parents and guardians of schoolchildren.
Use the crosswalks.
In the past, adults would illegally park on the shoulder of Rye Street to drop off their child. According to police, this behavior has stopped, with parents parking properly in the lot across the street from the school.

A new safety hazard has emerged, however. Adults are now walking their children across the street without using either of the two crosswalks on either end of the parking lot.
School administrators will be addressing the concern with parents, and police will continue monitoring the school during the morning drop-off.
