Forecast Of Thunderstorms Forces Postponement Of Concert Scheduled Thursday At East Windsor Park

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A forecast of excessive heat combined with the likelihood of thunderstorms has prompted postponement of the concert scheduled Thursday at East Windsor Park on Reservoir Road.

The National Weather Service is predicting a 30 to 60 percent chance of severe thunderstorms, with hail, damaging winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning. Temperatures are expected to reach the 90s.

The Nekita Waller Band will now perform Thursday, August 3 from 6-8 p.m. Waller, who was Connecticut's 17th State Troubadour, sings a mix of pop, Motown, soul, jazz and classic rock favorites, as well as original music.

Performances in the Summer Concert Series are free and fun for the entire family. The snack bar and splash pad are open late on concert nights.
