Guest Slashed In Armed Robbery At Windsor Locks Hotel, Police Say
Detectives collected evidence, reviewed hotel video, and discovered suspected narcotics in the victim's room.
WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Detectives are investigating a robbery and assault at the DoubleTree Hotel on Ella Grasso Turnpike in Windsor Locks, according to a police social media post.
Investigators say a guest was attacked with a razor late Sunday night. Officers arrived around 11 p.m. on Sunday and found a man bleeding from cuts to his head, face, hands, and thigh.
The victim told police he had left his phone in a female friend’s car, and a mutual acquaintance came to the hotel to return it. After giving back the phone, the suspect allegedly pulled out a razor and demanded the victim’s watch. A struggle ensued, and the man was slashed several times before hitting the suspect with a lamp and running to the lobby for help.

Police said the suspect ran to a waiting white sedan and took off. The victim said he did not know the real names of either person involved, only that they were from the Stratford and Bridgeport areas. He was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, investigators say.
