Guide Rail Upgrades To Affect Traffic On Route 20 In Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Guide rail upgrades will be performed on the westbound side of Route 20 in Windsor Locks, causing lane and partial ramp closures beginning Monday and continuing through Nov. 22.

The upgrades will be performed by Atlas Industrial Services on the Bradley Airport connector from the Interstate 91 northbound exit 40 off-ramp to Schoephoester Road daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

There will be right lane, left lane, shoulder closures and partial ramp closures during work time. Traffic control signing patterns, trailer mounted attenuators and state troopers will guide drivers through the work zone.

The DOT said, "Drivers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions, and are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area."
