Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Tom was a senior History/Education major in college, enjoying his student teaching experience when Covid-19 engulfed our world. He was looking forward to the enjoyable activities that a college senior would experience, but that was not to be.Tom looked at this time as an opportunity to help his community by working at the local grocery store - a place he had worked at periodically since high school. As he was working, Tom continued his schooling on-line and graduated with honors. He works tirelessly to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment at the store for both the customers and employees. Tom encounters many of the neighbors at the store and they always get a chance to "catch-up" on the happenings in town. This helps to bring a sense of normalcy to our community in this time of uncertainty.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Tom works hard to serve his customers and bring a smile to their faces with his positive attitude.
