The latest Hidden Gem is a "little" fruit stand with big offerings.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The latest stop on the Hidden Gems tour takes us to a fork in the road in the upper regions of Windsor Locks.

What was a Lincoln Mercury dealership in the 1970s has gone the way of the Bobcat and the Zephyr and is now the home of Vinnie's Little Acre, a business with offerings as big as the Continental's trunk.

Vinnie's relocated about two years ago from the Bassdale Plaza in East Windsor. Officially, Vinnie's now stands at 2 North Main St. in Windsor Locks.

Vinnie's Little Acre offers fresh fruits and vegetables, annuals, vegetable plants, hanging baskets and planters, among other items.

For example, in a social media post this week, Vinnie's was touting Connecticut grown butter and sugar sweet corn, a half-price on annuals, accent plants, herbs and hanging baskets.
