Man Had 'Means, Motive, Opportunity' To Kill Father: Prosecutor

A hearing will decide if Gabriel Hesse will be tried for his father's murder at an East Windsor mobile home, the Journal Inquirer reported.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — In her closing argument at a preliminary hearing on the murder charges against Gabriel Hesse, prosecutor Vicki Melchiorre argued Hesse had the "means, motive, and opportunity" to kill his father, the Journal Inquirer reported.

Halsey Hesse, Jr., 73, was found dead in the kitchen of his East Windsor mobile home on Oct. 9, 2019, NBC Connecticut reported.

Hesse's death was ruled as a homicide, and his son, Gabriel Hesse, 42, was arrested in connection with it, WTNH reported. Court documents state that Hesse is accused of stabbing his father "at least 70 times with a screwdriver," according to the Hartford Courant.
