Man With Out-Of-State Warrant Captured At Airport In Windsor Locks

The New Haven resident was the subject of an extraditable warrant issued by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office in Pennsylvania.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A fugitive with an active extraditable warrant out of Pennsylvania was arrested Monday afternoon at Bradley International Airport, according to state police.

Around 4:30 p.m., troopers assigned to the airport were notified by U.S. Customs and Border Enforcement about a fugitive onboard a flight scheduled to land at Bradley. Dispatch confirmed Christopher Heredia Ramirez, 31, of New Haven, was the subject of an extraditable warrant issued by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office in Pennsylvania, in connection with felony theft charges, police said.

Upon arrival at Bradley around 5:30 p.m., Ramirez was taken into state police custody and charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was held on a $100,000 bond, and was scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court Tuesday.
