May Music Festival Scheduled in Windsor Locks
Three different genres of music will be featured at the May 1 festival in Southwest Park.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The sound of music will be in the air on Sunday, May 1 as the Windsor Locks Arts Council presents the first of what hopefully will be an annual May Music Festival. The
afternoon of music at Veterans Memorial Park Pavilion on Southwest Avenue will feature three bands, plus craft vendors and a food truck.
Bands featured at the festival will offer three different genres of music. Each band will perform a one-hour set, starting with the acoustic trio Pine Meadow led by Jason Hamilton. Following Pine Meadow will be jazz vocalist Deanna Casey’s Quartet, performing selections from the Great American Songbook. The Nelson Bello Latin Jazz Quintet will close the show, offering up tunes with a distinctly Latin sound.
