More Great Milestones By Windsor Locks, East Windsor College Students

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester, in which more than 1,200 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs.
  Among the students were Haleigh Thibodeau, Brittany Janzer, Thomas Parakilas and Taylor Ribeiro, all of Broad Brook, as well as Windsor Locks residents Jaycelyn Forbes, Valerie Rosario and Luis Vazquez. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.

State University of New York, Potsdam NY

• Jimmy Quagliaroli of Windsor Locks was recently named to the President's List at the State University of New York at Potsdam. Quagliaroli, whose major is music education, was among 727 students who were honored for academic excellence in the spring 2024 semester. To achieve the honor of being on the President's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

• Shane Kittredge, a member of the Class of 2027 from Broad Brook, has been named to the spring 2024 Dean's List at Stonehill College. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher and must have successfully completed all courses for which they were registered.

University of Maryland Global Campus, Adelphi MD

• Jean Crean of Windsor Locks was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 term at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2024 Dean's List. Local honorees include Asha Patel and Caroline church, both of East Windsor, and Courtney Perez of Windsor Locks. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Jessica Feeney of East Windsor, a member of the class of 2024 majoring in mechanical engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2024 semester. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
