Police Find Man Who Fled During Traffic Stop

Several area police departments assisted Connecticut State Police in the search.

State Police have apprehended a man who ran from a car during a routine motor vehicle stop on Interstate 91 this morning and then led officers from several police departments on a foot chase.

Troopers from Troop H in Hartford have the unidentified man in handcuffs now, according to Lt. J. Paul Vance, public information officer for the state police.

Sunday morning around 10:30, a state police trooper stopped a vehicle near exit 41, Vance said. During the trooper's investigation a passenger in the car grabbed a bag from the vehicle and fled into the woods, Vance said.
