Missing Man's Vehicle Found Burned Near State Park, Police Say
The man's vehicle was found burned near the entrance of a park, officers say.
EAST WINDSOR, CT — Scantic River State Park remains closed as police continue searching for a missing 20-year-old Enfield man, according to a post on social media from East Windsor police.
He's been identified by investigators as Julius Stocinis, whose burned vehicle was found on Melrose Road in Broad Brook, just outside the park, according to East Windsor Police and DEEP.
East Windsor Police began investigating the case on December 1st, around 5:30 p.m., after family members reported they had last heard from Stocinis earlier that morning at about 5:45 a.m. His vehicle was later discovered burned near the entrance to the park, officers say.

The missing man is 6’2” with brown hair and hazel eyes, according to a post on social media by East Windsor police.

DEEP EnCon Police, K9 teams, and Connecticut State Police are assisting with the search in and around the park. It will remain closed until the investigation is complete.
Anyone who has seen Stocinis or knows where he may be is urged to contact East Windsor Police at 860-292-8240.
In a brief alert posted by DEEP, officials said the closure applies to the East Windsor section of the park.
