Police Share New Photos Of Missing 20-Year-Old Man

The investigation remains active as officers work to locate the missing 20-year-old man.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — The search for 20-year-old Julius Stocinis continues on Wednesday, with detectives working nonstop to find him after an extensive ground search near Scantic River State Park yielded no leads.

Stocinis was initially reported missing on December 1st after family members last had contact with him around 5:45 a.m. that morning. Later that day, his burned vehicle was discovered on Melrose Road in Broad Brook, just outside the park.

East Windsor Police launched a major search effort on Tuesday with assistance from DEEP EnCon Police, Connecticut State Police Search and Rescue, K9 teams, and additional state police personnel. Crews searched the woods and surrounding areas for hours, but found nothing.

Police said Wednesday that search teams are no longer in the woods, but the investigation is continuing with detectives “working around the clock” to locate Stocinis and follow new leads.

Scantic River State Park has been reopened, officers say. Anyone with information on Stocinis' whereabouts is urged to contact East Windsor Police at 860-292-8240.
