Teenager Injured, But Recovering After Freak Accident At Windsor Locks Bowling Center
An employee became pinned by a sweeper bar and had to be extricated and hospitalized, according to police.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A teenage employee of a busy bowling and entertainment center was injured Sunday afternoon when they became entangled with and pinned by a sweeper bar on a lane.
Police and emergency personnel were called to Spare Time on Route 75 on a report of a teenager trapped in the bowling lane. Officers found a 16-year-old employee unresponsive with a faint pulse and shallow breathing. She was taken to Hartford Hospital, and was reported to be recovering Monday morning, police said.
Preliminary reports indicate the girl attempted to clear the lane when the sweeper bar came down, pinning her to the lane. Unable to escape from the sweeper bar's weight and pressure, her breathing became restricted, resulting in a loss of consciousness. Other employees raised the bar manually so first responders could extricate the victim, police said.
