Tractor Trailer Crash Snarls Traffic On I-91 In East Windsor [UPDATED]
The crash, reported around 6 a.m., involved a tractor trailer smashing into a Jersey barrier on the southbound side of the highway.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A tractor trailer crash on the southbound side of Interstate 91 near Exit 44 slowed Friday morning traffic in both directions.
The crash, reported at 6:02 a.m., involved a tractor trailer smashing into the Jersey barrier. The barrier sustained heavy damage, and the cab of the truck was seen hanging over the wall into the northbound side of the highway. Debris from the crash extended into the left lane of the highway's northbound side.
The truck is owned by XPO Logistics.

A state police report indicates the truck had been struck by a Volkswagen Jetta operated by a 28-year-old Enfield resident. That driver was issued an infraction for failure to maintain proper lane.
The truck driver was taken to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The car operator refused medical attention at the scene, police said.
