Valentine's Day Weddings, Renewals Offered At Windsor Locks Town Hall

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — To assure never forgetting one's wedding anniversary, and in the spirit of the romantic nature of Saint Valentine's Day, the town of Windsor Locks is providing the opportunity for couples to exchange or renew their wedding vows.

On Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., couples may utilize the services of justice of the peace Sandra Sylvester at the Windsor Locks town clerk's office. The only cost is $50 for the state application, and the day includes treats donated by Moneta Moments Bakery. Photographer Coral Ruggiero will also be on hand for those wishing to hire a professional to take memorable pictures.

In 2022, 22 couples were married in the town clerk's office, with seven opting to take advantage of teh special offer on Valentine's Day, according to Town Clerk Chris Latournes.

"We really decorate the office, including a balloon arch," Latournes said.

Vow renewal ceremonies may also be booked for the same low rate.
