• DNREC requires sensors after refinery reports bigger chemical release (delawareonline.com) — Delaware regulators have ordered the Delaware City Refining Company to install real-time fence-line air sensors after a late-November butane release turned out to be far larger and longer than first reported. Officials say modeling shows low health risk and that the plume moved toward the Delaware River, but they want continuous monitoring so residents and agencies can see air data quickly and spot future problems sooner.
