π° News we're reading
β’ Milton Elementary classes recognize veterans' service and sacrifice (capegazette.com) β Milton Elementary students recently marked Veterans Day with classroom tributes instead of a single assembly, giving each grade an age-appropriate way to honor service members. From Elks Lodge poster projects to visits from veteran family members, teachers used the week to highlight gratitude, citizenship, and community values that resonate strongly with Milton families.

β’ Milton police respond to suspected explosive device (pnj.com) β Milton police and firefighters safely removed a suspected explosive device found on a Clayton Lane porch after evacuating residents and securing the neighborhood. Officials say the ordnance came from belongings of a recently deceased man, with no criminal intent, and credit recent bomb-response training for the smooth, coordinated response that kept nearby homes, a school, and a business out of danger.
