Residents are urged to report suspicious activity and can share tips anonymously through several New Castle County and Crime Stoppers hotlines.

• Deleware police investigating fatal crash involving semi truck (thetrucker.com) — A 43-year-old man from New Castle was driving a tractor-trailer involved in a fatal crash Sunday night in Bear, though he was not injured. State Police say a northbound Ford Focus struck the trailer as it turned, killing a 17-year-old Newark driver and closing Bear Christiana Road for several hours during the investigation.
